Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Ngaringaomatariki will strive to:
provide an environment that is conducive to the learning needs of our tamariki, our whānau and our community
provide quality of learning that respects and enhances the tikanga, values and principles of our whānau, hapū and iwi
aspire to academic excellence in raising the achievement levels of our tamariki
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF LEARNING AT TE KURA KAUPAPA MĀORI O NGARINGAOMATARIKI ?
Students learn to think in Māori, the learning is authentic.
Ngāti Whātua customary practice is upheld.
There are both male and female staff.
The teachers are consistently improving their teaching practice. There is a raft of activities designed to hook tamariki into learning inside and outside the classroom.
Whānau are able to learn alongside their tamariki.
There are learning opportunities offered by staff at various locations to improve adult language proficiency.
Our kura is located in an idyllic location, close to the marae of Ōruawharo.

Whāinga Rautaki 2 – Te Reo and Tikanga Māori
Te Reo Māori is the principal language of instruction and communication sup-ported by tikanga Māori and that of the ahi kā.
Whāinga Rautaki 3 – Digital Technology Development
The use of digital technologies will enhance relevant and quality learning experi-ences, encourage student participation and empower students for lifelong learn-ing.
